Heidi and Tim Soberick

The Inn was purchased and renovated in 1994 by Heidi and Tim Soberick, who still maintain their careers as professional classical musicians. Their ability to entertain carries over into their choice to become innkeepers as they set the stage for a delightful visit with Victorian antiques, fresh flowers, candlelit breakfasts, and soft music in sun-filled rooms.

Breakfast at the Candlelight is always a special occasion. Included are freshly brewed coffee or tea, homemade baked goodies such as sticky cinnamon buns or fruit-filled muffins, and a tempting main course. We would be happy to accommodate special dietary needs with 24 hours notice.

Each of the Inn's air-conditioned rooms is individually decorated with vintage furnishings, queen or king size antique beds, and Heidi's hand-crafted decorative pillows. Guests will also find scented soaps, fluffy towels, robes, and luxurious bedding. Guests have full use of the large parlor with its cozy fireplace and oriental rugs, or can relax on the porch and enjoy the view of the lovely gardens and neighboring farms. In the late afternoon, refreshments are available for guests to enjoy.

The Candlelight Inn Bed & Breakfast is minutes away from many Pennsylvania Dutch attractions. Whether you want your visit to include a trip to a local quiltmaker, a dinner with an Amish family, or any of the other Lancaster County highlights, we would be happy to help you choose from the wide variety of activities available.

MINUET ROOM - $69
Decorated in soft shades of blue and peach, this room is named for its elegant baroque motif. It has a Victorian fainting couch, a 19th century walnut queen-sized bed with matching high-top and mirrored dressers and a cherry writing desk. It shares a large hall bathroom with the Cherub Room.

CHERUB ROOM - $69
A delightful cherub border on a cream background and lovely floral linens highlight the decor. It is furnished with a high oak carved queen-sized bed, a decorative oak mirrored sideboard, Victorian side chairs and an antique oak desk. It shares a spacious hall bathroom with the Minuet Room.

CREAM ROOM - $79
Victorian elegance abounds with a mahogany queen-sized bed and a matching rose marble mirrored dresser. It is done in intimate shades of cream and burgundy with damask linens and paisley patterned wallpaper. It has a mahogany wardrobe, unusual period side and easy chairs, and a private bathroom.

GRAPE ROOM - $89
Sunlight illuminates an inviting king-sized bed and a white lace draped canopy. Its blue grape patterned wallpaper, white marble-topped Victorian side table, oak wardrobe, antique chairs, and private bathroom make this a wonderful room for a romantic getaway.

PURPLE ROOM - $99
Featuring majestic shades of deep purple, this charming room is set apart from others in the inn. Its seclusion can also be enjoyed from a private porch which overlooks Amish farmland. It has an antique French walnut queen-sized bed, a marble-topped Victorian side table, a unique marble and tile dresser, antique side chairs and a private bath.

SUITE - $155
This luxurious room provides the perfect romantic retreat for special occasions like honeymoons or anniversaries. It features a queen-sized canopy bed and an adjacent sitting room which are joined with unique sliding oak pocket doors. Furnished with beautiful marble-topped dressers and gilded mirrors, it also features a walnut cedar-lined wardrobe, a Victorian Eastlake rocker and matching side chair, and a day bed. It is done in cream and rose colors with an oriental floral paper and has a private bathroom.

Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to reservation date will be refunded. Cancellations made less than 7 days before reservation date will be refunded only if the room is refilled, less a $10 service fee.

Rates are from $69 to $115 for double occupancy and include full breakfast and afternoon refreshments. Ask about our corporate and extended stay rates.

For the comfort of all of our guests, no smoking or pets are allowed on the premises.

We welcome well-behaved children over the age of 8.

Check-in time is between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. unless special arrangements are made in advance.
