Color Purple is ultimately a story of hope, a testament to
the healing power of love, and a celebration of life.
Directed by Gary
Griffin, the musical features music and lyrics by Grammy
Award-winning composer/lyricists Brenda Russell, Allee Willis,
and Stephen Bray. Pulitzer Prize-winner Marsha Norman is the
librettist. The choreography is by Donald Byrd and musical
direction is by Linda Twine.
